LIVONIA, Mich. (July, 2024) — Great Lakes Women’s Business Council proudly announces the promotion of four outstanding individuals within its ranks, as the organization commemorates its 40th anniversary during Women’s History Month celebrations. These promotions represent a significant milestone in GLWBC’s journey to empower and uplift women in business across the region.
Belinda Turner-DuBois has been appointed as the director of CEED Lending, marking a pivotal moment in her tenure with this program initiative of the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council. “With her unwavering dedication to fostering economic growth and development, Belinda is crucial in advancing GLWBC’s mission to provide accessible financial resources to women entrepreneurs who may not otherwise have access,” said Michelle Richards, executive director of GLWBC.
Shelly Hyland has been elevated to the director of Marketing and Engagement role, bringing her creative prowess and strategic vision to the forefront of GLWBC’s outreach efforts. “Hyland’s passion for amplifying women’s voices in business will undoubtedly drive innovative marketing campaigns and foster deeper connections within the community.”
Annie Warnock’s promotion to senior Marketing and Engagement coordinator is indicative of her exceptional contributions to GLWBC’s marketing initiatives. “Warnock’s keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in elevating GLWBC’s brand presence and expanding its reach across diverse platforms,” Richards said.
Rachel Floyd accepts the role of Certification Outreach associate, where she will continue championing GLWBC’s certification program. “Floyd’s unwavering advocacy for women-owned businesses has been instrumental in facilitating their access to procurement opportunities and fostering meaningful partnerships.”
As GLWBC celebrates its 40th anniversary, these promotions underscore the organization’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of empowerment and inclusivity.
