The 2024 Chemical Industry Accelerator will launch with limited spaces available to maximize the impact and relationship building among the Corporations and WBEs in the small cohort with the goals of:

• Increasing awareness of opportunities to do business with the Chemical Industry
• Providing insights into the supply chain needs and requirements of this diverse industry
• Support and foster insights and connections with experts and decision-makers within the participating chemical corporations through classes and sponsor pod interactions

Applicants must submit a video pitching their capabilities and how this program may be applicable to their business. The pitch video must be completed by the time of submitting the application.

• Pitcher must be a woman owner & president of the company
• Pitches should highlight their company’s value proposition and differentiators with doing business in the Chemical Industry.
• Pitching criteria will focus heavily on innovative solutions, technical competency, effective communication and storytelling abilities

Applicants will be judged based on the entire application and pitch video.

PROGRAM DETAILS

The Accelerator will operate on an 8-month timeline, beginning in March 2024 and concluding in October 2024. Sessions will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. EST.

• Kickoff & Orientation: March 19 (WBENC National Event)
• 1st Session: April 17 (Wed)
• 2nd Session: May 8 (Wed)
• 3rd Session: June 5 (Wed)
• 4th Session: September 12 (Thurs)
• 5th Session: October 10 (Thurs)

Advisory Pod engagement is year-round.

With the goal of leading to new business opportunities, this program will provide valuable insights into the Chemical Industry supply chain needs and requirements. Participants will gain experience working with corporate experts and decision-makers from across the industry who are invested in supporting WBEs that want to grow or innovate their businesses. As a member of this limited availability, exclusive cohort, you will build relationships with chemical industry executives and other WBEs.

Selection Criteria

• Currently certified in good standing as a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WB
• Must be the majority owner of the company
• Have a minimum of three years of experience operating a business
• Provide goods or services applicable to the Chemical Industry
• Applicant agrees that upon acceptance, they will participate in all monthly virtual sessions and an in-person culmination event

In applying to this program, you are agreeing to the following commitments:

• Accepted applicants will need to have already registered by February 16 as full 2024 WBENC National Conference Attendees for the Denver Conference from March 18 – 22.
• The program will take place over an 8-month timeframe
• Agree to attend all 5 sessions virtual and in-person National Conference Kick-Off
• Program tuition is generously provided by Corporate Sponsors. If a WBE cancels after acceptance or does not successfully complete the program they will be required to pay $1,500 to WBENC to cover the pre-paid cost for their participation in the program.
• Optional field trips may be available per regional availability.

Throughout these eight months, WBENC-Certified businesses engaged in an immersive experience alongside our corporate members.
