The Sankofa Bird is a west African symbol. It suggests that to really move intentionally into our future, we should return to the past to see, look and/or take with us, that which is important to move ahead. During this weekend together, that is exactly what we will do. We will take the time to excavate former “strengths” in preparation for future aspirations. What better place to immerse ourselves in such a work, than historic Idlewild, MI. I can hardly wait. In the days forthcoming, you will receive directions for an activity to help you prepare for the retreat. Stay tuned.
